Our Quotation Charges
Builders dedicate significant hours to preparing comprehensive quotations for new projects, frequently visiting sites, meeting with clients, and collaborating with subcontractors and suppliers.
However, these efforts do not always yield positive results, as companies often find that potential clients were simply seeking a cost comparison or were never genuinely interested in having the project executed in the first place.
For this reason, we offer our estimates free of charge. These estimates serve as a knowledgeable guide, providing a rough price estimate either over the phone or via email.
Understanding the distinction between a quotation and an estimate, and applying the appropriate one at the right moment, can safeguard you against expensive issues during the course of a construction project.
Why quotations cost...
Upon receiving a preliminary estimate and confirming that our guide price aligns with your project's budget, you may choose to proceed further. By utilising the expertise of our quantity surveyor, you will receive a welcome pack that includes our insurance, accreditations, and a legally binding fixed-price quotation along with the terms of the contract.
The quotation fee provided at the time of your estimate covers this service. We typically collect the quotation fee when scheduling a quantity surveyor for your initial detailed site visit. This visit generally lasts one hour and requires comprehensive information, including measurements and photographs of the site.
Quotations can take up to 14 working days to produce, due to the in-depth amount of work involved to get the price right, and several site visits depending on the complexity of the job. This gaurantees our customers no finacial suprises along the way.
